Q & A (http://mosambe.com)

kavanr:

Q. What is the idea behind mosambe.com?

We give folks the tools they need to build a network, find opportunities and share their profile online. We give organizations the tools to find the right talent and share their profile online.

Q. Is it free?

Yes it is.

Q. Should i create a profile, what do i get?

You get a personal URL: yourname.mosambe.com. You get a cool professional web identity. Your mosambe profile becomes your online resume. You can stick your URL on your business card. You get to network and recommend. You get to discover new people, jobs and opportunities. You get to be happy with your profile (we promise to listen to you for any concerns, suggestions or feedback)

Q. Will you guarantee me a job?

No, we can’t. But you can always download a PDF format of your profile for your resume. You can check out jobs and companies. You can also follow companies to get the latest jobs in your dashboard.

Q. I am already on LinkedIn, I would however like to give this a try- do you help me get my LinkedIn profile on mosambe.com?

If you are willing to create a profile on mosambe.com, we will go out on a limb to help you out. Yes we do have a LinkedIn importer that helps you import your public profile. You can try it out when you sign up.

Q. I am a rock star, I am cool, I have my own homepage, Professional networking sucks!?!

Cool. Put that in your title on mosambe.com. You can still list your homepage link on mosambe.com. We surely hope not to disappoint you on the ‘cool’ quotient.

Q. So what is the deal with ‘mosambe’?

It is pronounced {mo-sum-bee}. Local hindi vernacular for sweet lime. Just implies a fresh new take on networking, finding jobs and discovering new opportunities.

Q. Do you believe in 6 degrees of separation?

Hmmm. Do you? Let us know. Beyond a degree or two it tends to get a little blurry.

Q. What is your take on networking?

Build a diverse network. Stay invested in your network. Make connections that last. Mosambe.com is only a tool, the real value comes from the time you invest in your network.

Q. Can i get all my questions answered on mosambe.com? Are you working on that? Do you have a forum? Do you do groups?

You should be on mosambe.com. Please register, give us that feedback. We will work hard to get things done for our supporters on mosambe.com

Q. Why should i bother? I don’t want a professional profile. I already have one or I don’t care. I hope you rot and die.

Amen.
